Foundation Work

The CMC Foundation, Inc. was created to carry on the spirit and good works of Carol Mulloy Cuttle’s lifetime dedication to teaching severely physically and cognitively challenged young children.

The CMC Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit, privately funded charitable organization founded and incorporated in Massachusetts in 1997. The CMC Foundation, Inc. is certified by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization.

Abacus Group, Inc. contributes ten percent of all corporate profits to the CMC Foundation, Inc.

Foundation Highlights

WALK FOR ARC - The 20th Annual CMC WALK FOR ARC was held in May 2010. To date $345,000 dollars has been raised in support of the North Central Massachusetts Association of Retarded Citizen’s recreation, family support and advocacy programs.

ALOHA CLASSIC 5K - The 16th Annual CMC Aloha Classic 5K Road Race was held in October 2010. To date, over $50,000 has been raised in support of the Children’s Developmental Clinic at Bridgewater State College which serves disabled and handicapped children in 70 southeastern communities.

SCHOLARSHIPS – The CMC Foundation has granted 100 scholarships over the past ten years and endowed two lifetime scholarships. First consideration is given to college students majoring in special education with demonstrated academic excellence.

YMCA TEEN MEMBERSHIPS – The CMC Foundation has purchased hundreds of YMCA teen memberships for economically disadvantaged teenagers
